Additionally, she enjoys exploring the scenic Bruce trails, immersing herself in the beauty of nature.
Orlena Chin
CURLY HAIRSTYLING Educator
Orlena’s journey with textured hair commenced during her formative years as a mixed-race child, growing up alongside multiple siblings. It was in this familial setting that her expertise in caring for various curl types developed, as she took charge of wash days for her siblings each week.
Driven by a deep-seated passion and innate resourcefulness, Orlena continuously sought out innovative methods to style and nurture her family’s curls, steering them away from chemical relaxers and towards embracing the natural beauty of their God-given texture.
Continuing her daily dedication to the salon, Orlena shares her expertise to support aspiring hair stylists in mastering the techniques of cutting, colouring, and styling curly hair. Finding her place at The Curl Ambassadors, she has passionately supported both guests and staff for over 15 years.
With a lifelong passion for artistry spanning various mediums, Orlena sees hair as a beautiful canvas. She delights in crafting shapes and routines that enhance the natural beauty of her clients’ hair while also making it easier to manage.

Kamie firmly believes that the cornerstone of delivering exceptional salon service lies in conducting thorough consultations with clients. She emphasizes the importance of continuous education and skill development in the beauty industry. Outside of her salon duties, Kamie finds enjoyment in playing board games and solving jigsaw puzzles.
Above all, she is passionate about fostering self-love and acceptance for all individuals, regardless of their race and the colour of their skin, ethnicity or their gender, to embrace and love their naturally beautiful textured hair.
Sheradan Overholt
CURLY HAIRSTYLING Educator
Sheradan has a decade of experience as a hairstylist, specializing in curly hair since 2017. She has been an educator and educator of The Curl Ambassadors Curl Academy techniques for six years. Sheradan is passionate about educating others on styling, cutting, and caring for textured hair. She also believes you are never too old to learn and never too young to teach.
Similar to many individuals, Sheradan lacked proper knowledge about caring for and embracing her natural hair during her childhood. Consequently, she spent years straightening and concealing her curls.
Now, it’s her passion to share all she’s learned and continues to learn, aiming to dismantle outdated beauty norms and industry standards regarding highly textured hair. She is dedicated to assisting others, particularly young clients, in learning to cherish and celebrate the hair they were born with.
